Full-Out Flying!

Did you ever wonder why you work so hard to get ahead, just to fall back to square one? You're not alone. Studies show that even most lottery winners end up where they started, regardless of how much they win.

What is it? Fate? Bad luck? No, it's simpler, yet much more profound than that. It's our money blueprint that determines where we will be. Our money blueprint is the basic programming we received around money as kids. It operates like a thermostat. If the thermostat is set for 72 and someone opens the door in the winter, what happens?

That's right - the room will definitely get colder.

But in time, the temperature will go right back to 72. If it's hot outside and someone opens the window, the room temperature will go up. But in time it will return to 72. In short, the only way to change the temperature of the room is to change the thermostat.

It's the same with us, except that our thermostat is in our mind. Our past programming keeps us stuck on the same old setting, no matter how hard we try to move beyond it.

What to do? Are we stuck for life in the same place? Of course not! We are never stuck. All we have to do is change our money blueprint; i.e., change our past programming. However, this takes energy and a willingness to change.

You Can Be "Right" Or You Can Be Rich

Years ago, I watched the power of affirmations change my financial life. I saw my income quadruple and more, after I diligently sang and repeated my affirmations for higher income. I saw the power of the mind to create what I wanted in life.

Yet I also observed that, no matter how much I made, I seemed to stay in the same place. I had more stuff, it's true. But my net worth didn't change. My money blueprint had me set in a position and that is where I stayed. I didn't realize that I was wired to stay in this place. And I didn't know how to change it. On one level, my life improved a lot. On another, there was no real change.

Finally, I learned that the negative wealth files in our mind can keep us from true financial success. If you have files in your head that tell you rich people are greedy, or that making money is a struggle, or that given your past, you could never be rich, you won't be. If it comes to a choice between being rich and pleasing your parents (or whoever "they" were who taught you wealth was bad), your mind will choose pleasing your parents every time.

And to do it, you will set your financial thermostat for failure. Henry Ford once said, "Think you can or think you can't and you're right." Of course, this does not occur at the conscious level. We get so attached to our old negative beliefs that we don't even realize we have them. We think we are them.

Your Inner World Creates Your Outer World

Want to jumpstart your way out of your old financial blueprint? I have a suggestion. It's called the Millionaire Mind Intensive, and it's based on the book Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Ecker.

This book, and the seminar, contain the very best of the spiritual self-help concepts we've come to know and love, with a twist. It's combined with the author's study of how rich people think. It is very different from how poor people think. As Ecker reminds us in the book, "If you aren't enjoying the happiness and success you want, all it means is there's something you don't know."

Using a "tough love" approach with a series of 17 "wealth files," followed by declarations and exercises, Ecker helped us create a complete makeover of our money blueprint. He also helped us budget (perhaps for the first time in our lives), with a brilliantly simple system of money jars. In the free seminar (the book contains two free tickets), this learning is accelerated during a weekend of fifteen- hour days that somehow leave you filled with enormous energy. They promise it will permanently change your money blueprint, and it will. But it takes guts on your part. This is not for wimps!

Feeling The Fear And Doing It Anyway

Do I sound excited? I am! Becoming wealthy - mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and of course financially, is a blast. But it takes energy. Complaining, blaming, and justifying drains our energy. If we're not happy with our life as it is, then it's time to stop whining and start shining. It's time to stop crying and start flying. We've done plenty of personal development work. Now it's time to take it to the next level. Is this a scary thought?

Learn from the eagles. An eagle builds her nest high up on the shelf of a sheer rock face. When her offspring are born, she cares for them until that fateful day when it is time for the brood to leave the nest. Gently she coaxes them toward the edge of the nest. Her heart fills with conflicting emotions as she feels their resistance to her persistent nudging.

"Why does the thrill of soaring have to begin with the fear of falling?" she wonders. She knows it is possible that this time it may not work. And yet, there is no other way. Despite her fears, the mother eagle knows it is time. Her parental mission is all but complete. There remains just one task-the PUSH! Drawing courage from an innate wisdom, the mother eagle knows that until her children find their wings, there is no purpose in their life. Without finding their wings, they will fail to understand the privilege it is to have been born an eagle.

The mother eagle's PUSH is her final and supreme act of love. So one by one she pushed them, and one by one, they flew!

It's time for us to take off, my friends. If you're really ready to change your life, if you've learned, as Helen Keller said, that life is either a daring adventure or nothing, then I suggest you try the Millionaire Mind Intensive for yourself. The push you get may scare you, but that's the price of learning to fly.
